Artificial Intelligence (AI) will fundamentally change our lives. It is the most significant technological development since the internet. The opportunities are enormous with potentially genuinely transformative benefits across all industries.

Within the legal sector, many law firms and legal functions are being encouraged to invest in AI solutions with this promise of transformational benefit and associated competitive advantage. The drive to rapidly adopt new AI technologies can, if managed correctly, deliver significant benefit but also can carry significant risks.

Legislators across the globe are taking different approaches to the risks of AI and its regulation. As was the case with Data Privacy, the EU is taking a more rigorous approach to regulation and the EU AI Act includes specific obligations with respect to AI literacy.

For legal professionals, an appropriate level of AI literacy is now a fundamental requirement and a precursor to the safe use of proposed AI solutions.  We have developed specific tools and training programs to help legal professionals navigate their use of AI solutions.  If you are interested in hearing more about our AI literacy offering, please get in touch.
